Moffett named School of Medicine Academic Affairs Faculty Fellow
Kathryn Moffett, M.D., has been named the School of Medicine Academic Affairs Faculty Fellow for the 2021-22 academic year.
This new role will work under the mentorship of the associate dean for Faculty Affairs and the associate vice president for Academic Affairs.
"I am honored to have been selected to serve the faculty within the WVU School of Medicine in this fellowship role," Dr. Moffett said. "I look forward to supporting faculty in the promotion process, while further engendering an environment of excellence in service, teaching and research."
In addition to her faculty appointment, Dr. Moffett will participate in the annual review and the promotion and tenure process, faculty rank review and strategic planning. She will also be responsible for helping to review faculty guidelines, provide continuous quality improvement and the LCME accreditation.
With more than 23 years at the University, Dr. Moffett has vast experience with clinical work, local, state, and national service, teaching and scholarly activity. She has recently served as the chair of the Department of Pediatrics Promotion and Tenure committee.
“Dr. Moffett’s experience as a clinician, educator and peer mentor will serve the faculty of the School of Medicine well,” said Louise Veselicky, associate vice president for Health Sciences Academic Affairs.
