Kim Helmick has been named alumni program coordinator for the West Virginia University School of Medicine, where she will lead efforts to aid the University in its goal to stay connected with Mountaineers beyond graduation.

Helmick brings years of event planning experience and a strong commitment to student and alumni engagement, which will help guide her new role as she strengthens the school’s alumni network.

“I have always enjoyed working with students, getting to know faculty and helping in any way I can,” Helmick said. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to continue working with the students and alumni.”

Helmick previously served as program coordinator in the Office of Medical Education/Student Services, where she supported and worked closely with medical students during their studies and training.
