WVU Medicine Opens Urgent Care in Waynesburg

WVU Medicine opened a new Urgent Care in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, on Monday (July 7). The clinic is located at the WVU Health System’s existing outpatient center at 451 Murtha Drive, offering patients greater access to convenient, walk-in care close to home.

Designed to treat non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, the new Urgent Care is staffed by experienced medical professionals and offers extended hours, including evenings and weekends. Services include treatment for minor injuries, cold and flu symptoms, infections, and other common conditions. It is open every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will only close on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

“This new clinic reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting the needs of the Waynesburg community,” Chris Goode, MD, chair of the WVU Department of Emergency Medicine and WVU Health System executive vice president and chief clinical integration officer, said. “By expanding our services in a location that patients already know and trust, we’re making it easier and more convenient for people to get the care they need, when they need it.”
