WVU Humanities Center grant and fellowship proposals due March 1
Faculty are encouraged to submit a proposal for a WVU Humanities Center grant or fellowship by March 1 at 11:59 p.m.
The goal of these grants and fellowship is to promote and support humanities-focused scholarship. Proposals will be carefully reviewed and awarded by an interdisciplinary humanities committee.
Humanities Collaboration Grant Application
Maximum budget: $13,000 ($15,000 may be requested if the additional $2,000 is allocated to a student)
Deadline: March 1, 2026, 11:59 p.m. EST
The Humanities Center’s Grants for Humanities Collaboration are available to full-time faculty members and faculty equivalent academic professionals (FEAPs). Eligible faculty members include tenured or tenure-track, teaching, service, clinical, research, librarian, and continuing visiting faculty members.
Research Support Grant Application
Maximum budget: $4,000
Deadline: March 1, 2026, 11:59 p.m. EST

Humanities Center Fellowship Application
Maximum budget: $7,500
Deadline: March 1, 2026, 11:59 p.m. EST
The WVUL Humanities Center’s fellowship(s) is designed as a mutually beneficial, two-pronged opportunity: to contribute to the Center’s mission, programming, and public engagement initiatives, while also providing support for the Fellow’s independent humanities research project.
