Interview Release Dates

• Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob-Gyn): Programs are asked to release all initial interview offers on October 28, 2025, with rolling offers to follow for applicants on the waitlist.
• Ophthalmology: This specialty will feature four coordinated interview release dates for the 2025–2026 cycle:
  • October 15
  • October 22
  • October 29
  • November 5
• Urology: Programs will extend interview offers on October 24, 2025, followed by the first round of applicant scheduling on October 27.
• Dermatology: Offers are released in planned waves:
  • First round: Released on Wednesday, November 3, 2025.
  • Second round: Released on Monday, November 17, 2025.
  • Third round: Released on Monday, December 1, 2025.
• Pediatrics: The Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD) recommends programs do not release initial interview offers before October 10, 2025.
• Plastic Surgery (Integrated programs): The first round of interview invitations will be sent out on November 7, 2025.
• Internal Medicine: While programs send invitations on a rolling basis, the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine recommends that initial offers be released on Tuesdays and Fridays after 3 p.m. ET.
• Neurosurgery residency programs release interview invitations primarily on Fridays in October, typically after 4 p.m. EST, per recommendations from the Society of Neurological Surgeons (SNS). This centralized approach aims to reduce stress for applicants on clinical rotations.
