🌟 Introducing: Student Spotlight 🌟
The WVU School of Medicine – Eastern Campus is excited to launch a new social media initiative: Student Spotlight!
Each month, our Communications team, led by Sam Haines, will feature one 3rd-year and one 4th-year student on the Eastern Campus Facebook page. These spotlights will go live on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month.
📬 What to Expect:
When selected, you’ll receive a short list of four questions to answer ahead of your spotlight. This is a great opportunity to share your journey, highlight your experiences, and showcase the amazing work happening here at Eastern.
👀 Keep an Eye Out:
Be on the lookout for communications from Sam and respond promptly so we can continue to shine a light on the incredible students who make our campus special.
Let’s show the community what Eastern is all about.
Sharps Injury reminder for students – Should you experience an actual, possible, or “just not sure” blood or body fluid exposure, report it immediately to OR staff in the room, go to OR Charge Nurse for assistance. You will report to the ER for immediate follow-up. Must address within 2 hrs! When registering, DO NOT GIVE INSURANCE CARD, “tell registration that the guarantor needs to be a company bill to WVU Student Health-BMC” so it does not get charged to your insurance. Be sure to notify one of the campus Deans or Student Services Staff. The full needlestick policy is in the WVU MD Degree Handbook on SOLE.
Absent reminder for students - Please remember that you MUST coordinate with Eastern Student Services and submit a formal excused absence request if you need to be absent from a rotation or education. This is required for ANY absence as we must keep track of it for your academic record.
