Adkins Recognized with Distinguished Teacher Award
We are proud to announce that Breanna Adkins, EdD, MOT, OTR/L, BCP, IMH-E, Assistant Professor in the Division of Occupational Therapy, has been honored with the School of Medicine Distinguished Teaching Award for her outstanding contributions to healthcare education.
Dr. Adkins has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to curriculum innovation and experiential learning. This award recognizes her dedication to fostering academic excellence and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Students in the MOT and OTD programs benefit from her clinical expertise in pediatric occupational therapy, holding multiple advanced certifications in the field. Adkins, an alumnus of the Division of OT, has focused her clinical expertise on infant and toddler development and is one of three occupational therapists in West Virginia Board Certified in Pediatric Occupational Therapy.
